Brain Fever

Lorimoto Gallery is kicking off the New Year with a colorful solo exhibition of paintings by Peter Schenck . 

Brain Fever will explore the Artist’s dive into more darkly psychological depictions of internal thoughts with his various characters : desire , anxiety, sadness, hope composed within Schenck’s monstrous , yet lovable cartoonish . bulbous heads and figures. 

Other works in this exhibition will focus on still life paintings & collages that group together conventional still life elements at first (palette, brush , pedestal, skull), but quickly descend into settings that resemble a hazy half remembered nightmare within a strongly lit studio interior.

Throughout all of this exhibition, Schenck’s irreverent humor comes shining through, but his color palette and imagery has become interestingly darker.
